The Dump Truck Training school was established in 1997 by the Managing Director Paul Dunne. Duman teaches a combination of theoretical and practical training in Dump Truck with emphasis on construction site work.
The Dump Truck course is accredited by the Department of Labour and the Construction Industry Training Board.
The dump truck courses offered are:
Practical Operator – This course takes 4 weeks and will teach you to operate the machine in the safest manner. It is important that you understand all safety aspects of the machine and gain excellent understanding of the machines hydraulics so that you have full control over the machine. Theory – This course consists of a four-day theory section on hydraulics followed by a two-day practical theory examination. The student must pass this examination to continue onto the next step, Practical Operator training.
Full Operator – This course also takes 4 weeks and is an upgrade from Practical Operator Training. During this course one will learn how to operate the machine on all types of terrain, be it soft ground, grassy areas or even hard tar roads. One will also learn how to load or unload a truck safely. This course teaches both practical and theoretical aspects of dump truck operation.
