Dangerous Goods are articles or substances that are capable of posing a significant risk to health, safety and the environment. These goods are grouped into nine classes.

The purpose of this training is to enable participants to deal with the safe carriage of dangerous goods by road, rail, sea and air. The course meets the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG), and the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) dangerous goods regulations.

Shermitex has been offering our This course for the last 15 years. We are the only provider of this course accredited by TETA – the Technical Education and Training Authority (EQV) in South Africa.

With our Dangerous Goods Training course, we offer a comprehensive course that allows you to become a certified Dangerous Goods Shipper and Licensed Transport Manager (LG5) in South Africa. This licence is issued by the Department of Transport and comes with the requirement that you have to be registered as an “approved” driver with a valid LG5 licence.
