Operators School is your ISO 17024 Accredited Training Centre and approved Transport Education Programme Provider for the National Road Traffic Management, a unit under the Department of Transport in South Africa.

The National Road Traffic Management required that all learners and drivers of heavy goods vehicles and passenger vehicles (max 12 passengers) complete the Transport Education Programme to be issued a Learners or Drivers License.

The Transport Education Programme is in line with Statutory Instrument 174 of 2006 and covers basic rules and responsibilities for drivers of motor vehicles, the safe handling of dangerous goods and the use of drivers log books. This programme is ideal for anyone wanting to learn more about transport legislation, safe driving procedures and accident prevention.

More than just theory training, you will be trained on real life scenarios with a combination of classroom lectures, group discussion, demonstrations and practical training sessions.

Boilermaker training is a professional qualification which has strict guidelines and criteria that must be met before it can be awarded to a candidate. The course is conducted at accredited training centres, which are centres authorised to deliver the training.

Boilermakers are needed in many industries as these professionals are trained to be able to work on equipment such as boilers, heat exchangers and pressure vessels with the associated piping systems and auxiliary installations. In addition to this, they are needed in the shipbuilding industry and other heavy industries that may require pressure containment or the carrying of hot liquids.

Boilermaker training will initially cover all aspects of pipe fabrication, including the use of pipe bending machines and plate shears. With regards to pipe bending machines, candidates will be expected to be able to bend an array of different diameter pipes and fittings using various equipment. They will also train on how to manually bend various parts using only hand tools.
